The Women of PLT Bursary is available to students in their first or second year of a Powerline Technician Diploma with a registered college in Ontario. The recipient will receive a $1,000 made payable to the student’s educational institution.
Accepting bursary applications November 1, 2020 – December 31, 2020
All applicants must be registered full-time in a Powerline Technician program in the province of Ontario. Students are to be enrolled in a Powerline Technician program and attending school in the 2020 – 2021 academic year. Applicants are asked to apply only once. This bursary is open to all genders.
Applicants are required to complete and submit the following:
- Cover Letter including; Name, Date, Contact Information, College, Program of study, Current year of study and Expected completion date
- One 1000-word essay describing the benefits of a diversified workforce to Canada’s electricity sector
How to Submit Your Application
Email your cover letter and essay to firstname.lastname@example.org, between November 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020, and include “Bursary 2020” as your subject line.
Submissions will be reviewed by Women of Powerline Technicians volunteer selection committee. The committee’s award decision will be final.
The bursary recipient will be invited to submit a photo and impact statement for distribution on Women of PLT social media channels.
At the time of the award, Women of Powerline Technicians will require verification of enrolment.
