Our events offer and open and informal professional opportunity for everyone to network in support of women in trades and technical roles in the electricity sector. Women of PLT events are held in February and July annually.
The health and wellbeing of Women of PLT members, partners and the community is our top priority. In support of the Government of Ontario’s recommendations to take responsible action to contain COVID-19, we have made the necessary decision to postpone in-person events for the time being.
Join us for our next virtual networking event in February 2022!

Frequently Asked Questions
CAN YOU NOTIFY ME WHEN YOU HAVE AN UPCOMING EVENT?
Yes! To be notified of upcoming events you can sign up to receive our newsletter. We’ll send you an email invite when our next event is announced. Please consider adding firstname.lastname@example.org to your contact list, or whitelist this helps our emails make it past your spam filters. If you haven’t heard from us in a little bit, we might be hiding in your spam folder.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND / PARENT WITH ME TO AN EVENT?
Yes! Women of PLT events offer an open and informal gathering to network in support of women in trade and technical roles in the electricity sector. When in-person events were being hosted, often emerging and young women in the trade were most comfortable bringing a friend or parent along with them to our events. Sometimes women in the trade can be geographically isolated from other women in the trades / technical roles simply because there are so few of us. Friends and parents provide a great deal of support and are eager to meet with other women in the trades.
HOW DO I SIGN UP TO ATTEND AN EVENT?
When the next event is announced, it will be posted on this page. You will then be able to follow the links on this page, or in your email invite to sign up. Sign up for our newsletter to be sure you are notified for our next event.
ARE MEN ALLOWED TO ATTEND?
Yes! All genders are, and we are a LGBQT+ supportive organization.
I AM NOT FROM CANADA, CAN I STILL ATTEND?
Yes! At Women of PLT we are the voice from the field committed to increasing women in trade and technical roles in Canada’s electricity sector and beyond. We are always welcoming of meeting other women in trade and technical roles from outside of Canada.
