Welcome!

Our events offer an open and informal gathering for everyone to network in support of women in trades and technical roles in the electricity sector.

The health and wellbeing of Women of PLT members, partners and the community is our top priority. In support of the Government of Ontario’s recommendations to take responsible action to contain COVID-19, we have made the necessary decision to postpone in-person events for the time being.

Frequently Asked Questions

CAN YOU NOTIFY ME WHEN YOU HAVE AN UPCOMING EVENT?

Upcoming events will be posted on this page and if you aren’t already signed up for our newsletter, you can sign up (link at the top of this page). We will send you an invite notification when our next event is announced. Please consider adding info@womenofplt.com to your contact list, this helps our emails make it past your spam filters. If you haven’t heard from us in a little bit, you might want to check your spam folder.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND / PARENT WITH ME TO AN EVENT?

Yes, you can. Women of PLT events offer an open and informal gathering to network in support of women in trade and technical roles in the electricity sector. When in-person events were still being hosted, often emerging and young women in the trade were most comfortable bringing a friend or parent along with them to our events. Sometimes women in the trade can be geographically isolated from other women in the trades / technical roles simply because there are so few of us. Friends and parents provide a great deal of support and are eager to meet with other women in the trades.

HOW DO I SIGN UP TO ATTEND AN EVENT?

When the next event is announced, it will be posted on this page. You will then be able to follow the links on this page or in your email invite to sign up.

ARE MEN ALLOWED TO ATTEND?

Yes, in fact all genders are and we are a LGBQT+ supportive organization.
